Cut small hatch marks across the chew marks diagonally.

After you mark the damaged area for wood furniture repair, you can apply filler for the damaged area. Follow the instruction provided by the products carefully to mix the filler. Avoid to mix too much filler at once because each application will dry in several minutes.

Let the filler applied on the damaged area to dry. After it is dried, you can smooth out that filled area by using 150 grit sandpaper. To finish wood furniture repair, use 220 grit sandpaper. Add color that is similar with the existing color of your furniture. Or you can paint the whole furniture with a new color to provide a new look.
